Something not working?
Larder is made by one developer, so mail gets read by the person who can actually fix the thing. A reply usually takes a couple of days.
What to include
A bug is much quicker to fix with a little context. Where you can, mention:
- Your device and OS version — iPhone 16 Pro on iOS 26.1, for example.
- The Larder version, shown at the bottom of Settings.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- If it involves a specific link or recipe, the URL you saved — that is usually the fastest route to a reproduction.
- A screenshot, if it's something you can see.
Please don't send screenshots containing anything you'd rather keep private; a description works fine.
Things worth trying first
A recipe didn't come through
Open the item and use Refresh Metadata — pages change, and a second read often succeeds. If the site publishes no recipe data at all, you can type or correct the ingredients and steps directly, and your edits stay.
Items aren't appearing on another device
Confirm both devices are signed in to the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive enabled for Larder. Syncing is handled by iCloud and can lag after a large import. If it hasn't settled after a while, get in touch.
The same thing is saved twice
Open Duplicates in the sidebar — it appears whenever there's something to review, and merging keeps one copy while folding the others' tags, notes and addresses into it.
Search isn't finding something
A #tag in a smart folder matches that tag exactly, while typing in the search field matches as you go. If Spotlight results look stale, Settings has a Rebuild Spotlight Index action.
Feature requests
Genuinely welcome, and the same address works. Telling us what you were trying to do is more useful than proposing the fix — the underlying problem often has a better solution than the one that first comes to mind.

The privacy policy covers what is stored, where it lives, and the one case where content leaves your device. Anything it doesn't answer, please ask.
